Profession of Love

This is not my work. Its my cousin's poem to a love interest of his.

gentle eyes... convey a mother’s warmth,
and sound off lullaby chants of past childhood
dreams of awesome flight and laughter so
innocent-serene. mild, milk-sweet poetry
between the nose and chin suggest a truth
filled tale of a nutmeg-honey kiss. amazing
grace that heals and lifts the burden’s weight
up off the beaten shoulders of a man whose
learned too late. had i not mine eyes,
these words inspired, would still have
found this page. for they grant an ode
not just to Beauty, but pay tribute to
your way. for your eyes gently reveal
the ancestry of kings, and the sovereign
iridescent pearl, of the Eden days serene.
